I am still in Panama. Today we went to the Flamenco Marina to visit some customers. On our way back into town our driver said he was going to show us the "other side". He said that the government owns the land that these buildings are on and they let poor people live for basically free. It is a very tropical climate with rain in the afternoons this time of year. It was just starting to rain when I took these photos. There was a fair number of police around but you still don't want to be in this area on your own or after dark at all.

I took this photo in honor of my father. He was an avid photographer back in the 50's and early 60's with black and white. In the mid 70's my brother and I learned how to develop and print our own photos in our darkroom in the basement. The stone in this photo was made by my niece in memory of Grandpa.

The Indian was in my father's house for the past 40 years or so. I can remember it when I was a child. I never knew where he got it. The bust has been around for almost as long. He always had it hanging on the wall but it looks like it was part of a leg to something. The crystal candle holder is just me trying some black and white photography.

Today is day one of my photo project. I decided that March 21st should be my starting point because it is the first full day of spring. The official start of spring was around 7:30 yesterday morning. This photo was taken last night at a local car show that meets every Friday evening from 6 to 10 pm. This little girl was walking around with her mother and her new puppy.
